Our Non Ceremony package includes:

*A warm, personal and professional service tailored to each and every individual couple.
* Initial phone or skype meeting with you to discuss required services and paperwork.
* Receipt of completed and witnessed NOIM and certified copies of both parties identification
  OR personal Completion and Lodgment of the NOIM, Marriage paperwork and sighting of identification.

* Ceremony tailored specifically for you and provided to you within three (3) weeks of receiving payment of your    deposit in full for your review, input, edits and approval.
* Unlimited email support to ensure that all of your questions are answered and that you are completely satisfied    with your ceremony wording (not applicable for legal only bookings)
* Ceremony run sheet provided, a step by step guide to ensure your expectations of how the ceremony will flow.
* A professional and genuine ceremony delivered to you on the day.
* Your marriage documents lodged with the appropriate State or Territories BDM Registry, complete with email     notification of lodgment.
* All AB Celebration Extra's available at an additional fee.

The Ocean Package

The Ocean Package is an adventure based wedding ceremony for you, your partner and your guests. Not only will you take your vows in the most beautiful place on earth, you will also experience the natural scenery and marine life between Ballina and Byron Bay.

(The vessel has the capacity to comfortably take up to (20) twenty passengers on board, however please be aware that this includes both of the marrying parties and your Celebrant. This means you can invite up to (17) seventeen guests for your magical ceremony experience.

Photography options are available but will need to be discussed at the time of you making your booking. Out of the Blue Adventures can offer some amazing wedding shots from your day but should you require your own photographer to attend, just make sure that you allocate one of your guest seats to that particular individual.

Whales are wild animals, so there are no guarantees that we will see them. However, the Captain has extensive experience and knowledge about the area, so it is rare that you will not see any during migrating season (May-November). OOTB follow the federal whale watching guidelines that apply to all boats, including kayaks: stopping the boat at least 300 ft. (91 m) away from the whales, not pursuing or blocking them, and driving slowly when near them. OOTB allow the whales or dolphins to approach the boat if they choose.

OOTB are the only RIB style vessel in the Ballina & Byron area that does Byron Bay tours up and down the coast purely for ocean, scenic and eco adventures. OOTB boats are RIBs, or Rigid-hull Inflatable Boats, with a hard aluminium hull surrounded by inflated pontoons for extra stability. RIBs are popular for whale-watching in many parts of the world. OOTB is the first 20 seater offering ocean adventures in the Byron and Ballina Region. The OOTB vessel is built to the highest standards of safety and reliability making them perfect for the Ballina to Byron Bay ceremonies.

The OOTB captain may give you a taste of the boats manoeuvrability and speed at their discretion and far away from whales, but the primary focus on the Ocean Wedding Package is the experience of closeness to nature. OOTB always operate within safe parameters for the seas changing conditions and with utmost respect for the marine life.

OOTB cater for all guests including children aged (3) three and up, however all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For safety reasons all passengers must wear life jackets assigned by the Captain at all times and follow the Captains instructions.

Please note, the removal of life jackets for ceremony photographs is completely at the Captains discretion and will be determined only by the Captain of the vessel at the time of the Ceremony.

The wharf is wheelchair and walker accessible, but one must be able to sit down onto the soft pontoons and pivot into the boat to the nearest seat and back onto the dock after the trip. Please let us know if you have any special assistance requirements and we will be more than happy to help.

OTTB recommend you show up to the boat with an extra layer of clothing just in case you get a little wet or cold. During winter, it is recommended to bring something warm to wear under the spray and wind resistant jackets OOTB provide. It is typically cooler on the water than on land and temperatures may change throughout your adventure.
OOTB also recommend sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat (even on overcast days) and a camera to capture the time of your life!
*Please be aware as you will be on the ocean, in some cases long skirts and shoes may get partially wet during the ceremony. It is recommended that you be cautious of this.

The ceremony will run in light rain and other moderate weather conditions, but in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions AB Celebrations and Out of the Blue Adventures reserve the right to cancel and substitute this ceremony up to the agreed start time. In this extreme event, a River Cruise will be provided in place of the Ocean Experience so your ceremony will still be on the water.

There is a possibility of getting wet on our Byron Bay tours when it is windy and choppy since our vessel is open and low to the water. OOTB provide high quality jackets that fit over your warm layers and provide wind and water protection. The captain will endeavour to keep you as dry as possible, but in some conditions spray is inevitable.

OOTB boats greatly reduce the chance of sea sickness as our low profile does not rock aggressively compared to the traditional whale watching boats. There will be constant motion depending on the sea conditions. Be sure to eat at least a light meal. Consider taking precautions if you know you are sensitive.

Take precautions if you are ensitive to sea- sickness....

If you are affecte by sea sickness, OOTB advise that you book a morning ceremony for smoother seas.
2. Take over-the-counter medication (for example, Non-drowsy Dramamine) at least one hour before the trip, however always be sure to seek medical advice before taking any new medication.
3. Choose the rear seats, as the front goes up and down more.
4. Tell your captain that you are sensitive at the start of the trip, and give updates if you start to feel queasy. Usually he or she can adjust the motion of the boat to help you feel better.
5. Look towards land and occupy your mind with the exciting view.

If you require a small light refreshment during your cruise, OOTB is happy to provide a complimentary basket of gluten free sweet and savoury delights.
Do you have bottled water for purchase?

Out of the Blue Adventures provide reusable water bottles for the trip, unless you would like to bring your own. OOTB consciously do not offer single-use plastic water bottles. As ocean ambassadors AB Celebrations and OOTB support alternatives to “disposable” plastics to combat the destructive effects it has on the sea life we love.

Terms and Conditions

As there is a certain level of space on the vessel, when a client reserves a specific date and time that booking is held exclusively for that client and no longer available to other customers which is why OOTB need a minimum of 60% deposit at the time of the booking, with remaining amount due one week (7 days) prior to the wedding date.

All Cancellations must be made at least (2) two weeks prior to the scheduled departure date.  Cancellations made more than (2) weeks prior to the booking departure will receive a partial refund* (the amount of deposit paid less the Celebrancy fee deposit of $150.00 plus 10% of the remaining deposit)

If cancelled less than (2) weeks prior to the date or if a no show occurs the customer will be responsible for the full amount of the ceremony adventure.

Please note

Out of The Blue Adventures reserves the right to cancel an adventure or charter due to unsafe sea or weather conditions, minimum passenger requirement not met or maintenance needs which does not allow the boat to operate properly. In such a case, Out of The Blue Adventures will either substitute the experience with a River Cruise or AB Celebrations will accommodate the marrying party where possible.

Passengers must be ready at the point of departure stipulated at least (15) fifteen minutes of the departure time.

If, in the opinion of the skipper, the voyage cannot be continued for any reason, then the skipper may terminate the trip at any time.

The proprietors are not common carriers and reserve the right to refuse to carry any passenger, baggage or goods without assigning any reason. Therefore, passengers shall comply with the Navigation Act 1912 (as amended 1979) and all regulations, orders or instructions given by the skipper. The proprietors shall not be responsible for any damage or loss occasioned.

Passengers shall not carry any alcoholic liquor, matches (other than safety matches), explosives, volatile spirit or other goods of a dangerous, inflammable or offensive nature. In the event of a passenger being required not to embark or to disembark from the vessel under the provisions of this condition, AB Celebrations, the proprietors, nor the skipper shall be under any liability to such passenger of any kind whatsoever.

AB Celebrations, the skipper and the proprietors shall not be responsible for any injury to person or damage to property arising out of any trip.

AB Celebrations and Out of The Blue Adventures are committed to keeping your details private. We do not pass on any of your personal details with anyone else. The only exception to this is in the event of an emergency when your details may be passed onto the relevant Australian government bodies where necessary.
We use the information collected to identify your booking and to contact you in the event of adventure cancellations or rescheduling.
